At our agency, we believe that every soul deserves a home and an adequate amount of resources to assure self-sufficiency. This is majorly important because it not only helps families and individuals in our area that need the extra help, but our community as a whole by continuing to eliminate homelessness. This is why we are excited to be supporting Second Heart Homes in their efforts to get people off the street, enhance their quality of life by providing stability and services, and to foster the highest attainable level of self-sufficiency.
Second Heart Homes specialize in helping some of the most chronically homeless individuals of Sarasota. Many of their clients have historically fallen through the cracks. They look at them as people, they analyze their specific circumstances and apply a plan that is sensitive to their needs and ultimately gets them off the streets and into the lives they deserve. SHH are referred to as the “Special Op’s” of the mental health housing community. They offer several services that are based upon conflict resolution, community engagement, and developing skill sets. They have workshops that identify problems and actively engage clients in developing and implementing their own solutions.
